Abstract

206,686. Keyser, J. J. Oct. 25, 1922. Ball bearings; caps; spring supports. - In a spinning machine in which the upper bearing 1 for the spindle 1 is arranged in a cover 9 which closes the upper end of the spindle casing 2, the spindle 1 has a worm 6 on its lower end which engages with a worm wheel 15 so that after loosening the spindle cover 9 the upper bearing and the spindle can be removed as a whole from the spindle casing. As shown, a ball bearing 7 is arranged in a cup-shaped part 8, filled with oil, secured to the cover 9, and is supported by springs 10, and a cap 14 prevents the entrance of dust.
