Oil-hole covers.-The base 10 of a spinning spindle 11 has, below the whirl 12, a flange 13 with an oil pocket 20 in its upper face, the pocket 20 having a hinged cover 24 provided with a doffer guard 25. The cover 24 is shaped so that, when filling the base 10, it passes over the lower flange 27 of the whirl.
