Combined bolster and footstep bearings; roller bearings for the spindles of spinning machines, Rollers g with plane ends are mounted between the parallel plane ends h of an outer race ring f. The rollers bear directly on the spindle a which is not specially hardened. The race ring f is held in a sleeve d which contains a step bearing e and which is held by its lower portion only in a casing c so as to allow slight lateral movement of the upper portion. The race ring f may be spherically seated in the sleeve d and at least one of the ends h of the ring f may be formed by a separate piece and held in contact with the remainder of the ring f by the end of the sleeve d.
