Abstract
234,045. Honegger et Cie. May 16, 1924, [Convention date]. Ball bearings. - Vertical spindles, for spinning and twisting machines, are supported at their upper and lower parts by multiple-row ball bearings. As shown, the bearings are carried in an axially movable sleeve 4 which is held in position by springs 5 and rotatably fixed in an outer sleeve 5<a>. The balls are carried by spacing cages, the upper cage being supported by balls 3<a> spaced by a cage 3<b>. The lower ball cage 7 and the spindle 1<b> are supported by a ball thrust bearing 10 carried by a plug 9 screwed into the sleeve 4, the plug 9 having an annular groove 11 for collecting lubricant.
