26,663. Guest, J. J. Nov. 29. Ball bearings.-A ball bearing for spindles of the cup-and-cone type is self-adjusting. The two cones are formed directly on the spindle, and the cups 4, 7 are pressed into contact with the balls by a spring 8. The cup 7 slides in a bracket 5, and the cup 4 is fixed by an end cap 6. Caps 6, 9 exclude dust &c. from the bearing. Instead of the arrangement shown, the cones may be placed between the two cups.
