Abstract
154,173. M³nz, F. Nov. 17. 1919, [Convention date]. Addition to 147,087. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Baths.-In a spinning-spindle as described in the parent Specification having a row of bearing balls k in the plane of the driving-pulley and the lower bearing f formed in a swinging pillar g supported laterally by springs h, the pillar g is arranged in an adjustable perforated, threaded sleeve o provided with an outer shell r which constitutes an oil reservoir. The step bearing is permanently immersed in the oil, which works up the tapering spindle to the ball bearing k, from which it returns to the reservoir along the walls. An annular cap u catches oil working above the bearing k. In a modification, the swinging support g is suspended by a ball and socket in the upper part of the sleeve o.
