Abstract
204,007. Minimax Ges. Sept. 16, 1922, [Contention date]. Fire-extinguishing by solutions or liquid mixtures and by foam.-Foam for fire extinguishing is produced by adding under pressure a chemical in solution to the foam producer which is stored in the dry state, generally mixed with the other chemical. Sodium bi-carbonate solution contained in a receptacle a is forced through a pipe b and a cock c to a receptacle d containing oxalic acid and saponin, for instance, and the foam passes out by a pipe e. The solution enters the receptacle d preferably tangentially. A hydraulic main f may be connected to a pipe g and stop valve to force the solution from the receptacle a, or gas pressure may be used and the pipe b extended to the bottom of the reservoir. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 200,791.
