203,610. Baker, Sons, & Perkins, Ltd., J., and Prescott, W. E. Jan. 1, 1923. Stationary batch-mixers with rotary stirrers.- A mixing-machine comprising a pair of mixing blades mounted on parallel horizontal axes has the walls of the mixing chamber of such form that the path of the blades are close to the walls, the charging and discharging doors being formed as sliding parts of the walls, either above, or above and below, the intersecting portion of the paths of the blades. In the form shown, the ingredients are fed through inlets 7, 8 closed by slides 4, 5 operated by racks 11 and handoperated pinions 13. The discharging outlet is closed by a slide 6 operated by a nut 21 and screw on a hand-operated spindle 20. The beaters are driven from a shaft fitted with belt reversing gear 28, 30 operated by a hand-wheel 31. Specification 470/08 is referred to.
