Abstract

203,410. Nogutchi, F. S. June 9, 1922. Electric, gas, and oil hand-irons with steaming arrangements; hand-iron handles.-The boiler is of #-shape and partially surrounds the heating- unit d which is secured to a plate u detachably secured to the rear of the iron so that the gas Bunsen unit shown may be withdrawn and an electric or oil heater, similarly mounted, substituted therefor. The steam generated passes through an externally mounted valve n and a tube n to a recess o in the working face of the iron. The handle h serves as a reservoir for water supplied through a cock j to a boiler b located in the base a of the iron. A safety valve is also provided in the boiler.
