201,764. Pierpont, F. H., and Lanston Monotype Corporation, Ltd. Aug. 3, 1922. Single-type composing and casting machines; matrices.-The matrices are supported in the diecase of a type composing and casting machine by means of a series of parallel bars B, Figs. 1 and 3, which engage grooves A<1>, Fig. 4, in the sides of the matrices A, and by a series of parallel rods C arranged at right-angles to the bars, and passing through openings therein, and passing also through central holes A<2> in the matrices. The rods C can be withdrawn through holes in one side of the die-case, and are normally held in place by a detachable plate D<4>. Specification 4726/05. is referred to.
