Abstract

A liquid level indicator comprises an indicator mechanism including a part 14 the position of which in use is fixed relative to the liquid container 11, and a float 18 movable relative to the part 14 and coupled to the mechanism to cause the mechanism to be moved from an off state to an operative state to give a low-level indication when the liquid level in the tank 11 falls below a predetermined level and to remain in the operative state until the mechanism is re-set notwithstanding the return of the liquid to the predetermined level. The float is coupled to the part 14 by a bar 16 which slides through an aperture in a member 15 until an adjustable collar 17 engages the member 15. <IMAGE>
