Abstract
PURPOSE:To detect the inclination of a liquid tank by pouring a predetermined amount of liquid in the liquid tank and detecting changes in a level of the liquid surface. CONSTITUTION:A liquid tank 1 comprises a first part 11 in which a liquid 3 is stored, and a second part 12 receiving the liquid 3 which has been moved thereinto by changing a level of its surface with respect to the bottm surface of the first portion 11 when the liquid tank is inclined. A float 2 is floating on the surface of the liquid 3 and coupled to a moving member 6. The moving member 6 is drawn out to the exterior from the bottom surface of the first part 11 of the liquid tank 1 and provided with a pair of strips 61, 62 adapted to operate a switch 5. The moving member 6 is also coupled to a weight 4 at the bottom surface of the first part 11 of the liquid tank 1. The weight 4 functions to hold the moving member 6 upright at all times even when the liquid tank 1 is inclined. A first contact of the switch 5 is closed when the liquid tank 1 is in the normal state, while a second contact of the switch 5 is closed when the liquid tank 1 is inclined by an angle greater than a predetermined value.
