Abstract

A whistling kettle is provided with a water level indicator comprising a glass tube 4, the upper, closed end portion of which projects upwardly from the body of the kettle to expose to view an indicator 7 attached to a float 5. A calibrated scale 8 is arranged alongside the exposed upper portion of the tube. The tube is open at its lower end to the interior of the kettle, so that the float (and indicator) are positioned in the tube in accordance with the water level and the tube includes a vent 9. <IMAGE>
