Abstract

A minimum level sensor (1) for liquid containers in vehicles, comprising a housing (2) having an equalising opening (3) and surrounding a float (5) which co- operates with a switching device such as a magnetic reed unit 8 to actuate the latter when the minimum level (4) is reached, in which sensor the equalising opening (3) is arranged just below the minimum level (4). <IMAGE>
