Abstract

A minimum level sensor (1) for liquid containers in vehicles, comprising a float (2) having an associated electrical switching device such as a magnetic reed contact unit (6), and means (13) which prevent the actuation of the switching device (6) when the vehicle accelerates or is obliquely positioned, in which the said means (13) consists of an obstruction object (13) arranged underneath the float (2) and able to move relative to the float (2) from an inactive normal resting position into an obstructive position in which it prevents the float (2) from falling to or below the minimum level (5). <IMAGE>
