Abstract

Apparatus for warning of the increase in draught of a floating article, especially a small boat (1), in a surrounding liquid, for burglar alarm purposes, includes a signal emitter (5) and a source of current (17a, 17b) which are connected, via a relay (16) and a switch (14), to a release unit (3). The release unit (3) includes a chamber (6) fixedly arranged relative to the article which communicates (7) with the surrounding liquid. The chamber (6) holds a contact device (8, 11, 12) which is adapted to close an electrical circuit when the liquid has risen to a certain level in the chamber (6). <IMAGE>
