Abstract

A meter for measuring volume or mass of fuel fed to an engine has a number of reciprocable displacement members, e.g. rolling diaphragms or pistons (15, 16 and 17, Fig. 2 not shown) each acting in a chamber (80, 81, 82 or 83), and each connected by a connecting rod 8 to a crank mechanism 35, and a rotary fuel valve 20 driven by the crank mechanism to distribute and control fuel flow to and from each chamber in such a manner that fuel flow causes the displacement members to reciprocate and display or record means operatively connected to the crank mechanism, e.g. by magnetic coupling 7, to indicate volume or mass of fuel flowing through the meter. A tapered stop 4 is adjustable to alter the chamber volume and the stroke when calibrating the meter, temperature compensation also being provided. <IMAGE>
