Abstract

198,042. Edley, B. Feb. 23, 1922. V-slot blade sharpeners.-A knife sharpener is formed of two plates a, Fig. 2, which are placed side by side, and two sharpening-discs c, Fig. 1, which are rotatably mounted in openings b in the plates a. Cover plates e are riveted on the outsides of the plates a and the whole is mounted in a handle by means of tangs d. In modified constructions the plates a are formed with shallow recesses instead of the openings b, and the two plates may be formed integral, as shown in Fig. 5, and bent about the line j. Feet may be formed on the plates so that the device can be mounted on a base.
