Net and line hauDers. - On vessels having internalcombustion engines as main propelling plant, the deck machinery such as a winch, windlass, or the like is driven from the main engine through gearing which includes a reversing clutch. The engine shaft 1 is connected by a belt 3 with an auxiliary shaft 4 on the deck, this shaft being connected to a second shaft 5 through a reversing clutch. The second shaft is connected bv a dog clutch 7 to the winch 12.
