Valve-gear.-A double-acting pump A, A<1> is directly connected to a Diesel engine K, K<1> which makes a power stroke for each delivery stroke of the pump and drives a crank shaft P carrying a flywheel. The engine is preferably a two-cycle engine having coaxial cylinders K, K<1>, the fuel valves S, S<1> of which are operated by an eccentric on the shaft P through linkwork v, 10, 8, t, t' and a rocking cam 2.
