Abstract

197,164. Rumball, F. W. April 10, 1922. Stoppers, means to prevent loss of.-A screw-cap for a collapsable metal tube is held captive by a flexible or resilient member, such as an outwardly acting spring wire 5, one end of which is rotatively secured to a stud 4 on the cap whilst the other end is secured to a lug 1, formed: in the same operation as the tube and integral with the shoulder thereof, by inserting it in a, hole pierced therein and then flattening out the metal. The flexible member may consist of a spring or of a piece of cord, chain, gut, &c. which may be secured by knots &c. in a hole pierced through the lug.
