Abstract

330,269. Bray, A., Bray, G., and Bray & Co., Ltd., G. March 4, 1929. Holders. - In electrical couplings of the lamp-holder or like type wherein leads b are gripped between the end of an insulating tubular element g and the top of the contact block c to relieve the terminals of the weight of the device, the tube g, which is actuated by a screwed cap h engaging a shoulder g<2> on the tube, is constrained to move axially only, thus avoiding fraying the leads, by means of a projection k on the dome a co-operating with a groove i in the tube. The tube g is prevented from falling out during assembling, by co-operation of the projection k with the closed upper end of the groove i. The screwed cap h may be permanently attached to the dome a by turning in a tip h<2> below the screw threads, the tube, cap, and dome then forming a unit. The gripping end of the tube may have circular corrugations &c.
