Abstract

223,770. Sershall, S. H. Dec. 8, 1923. Force-feed lubricators.-A locking device for the cap 11 of a grease cup comprises a U-shaped wire spring 9 secured in the cap by a slotted washer 10 which is pressed into the cap. The washer, which is elliptical and formed with slots 10<a>, is arched so that it can be placed in position. When pressure is applied to flatten the washer into engagement with the threads, a part 10<b> is raised to grip the wire 9. The arms of the spring 9 engage grooves 12a in the cup 12.
