Spring devices. - A shock-absorber for bicycles, &c. comprises a barrel A provided with end caps 3, 4 and formed with slots 1, 2 adapted to receive two arms C<1>, C<2> of which the outer ends engage a compression spring B within the barrel and the inner ends are pivoted together and to one branch of the wheel fork at D. The lower arm is perforated at E to receive the wheel spindle and the upper arm is provided with a stop F adapted to bear against the wheel fork. The wire at the ends of the spring is bent diametrically across the spring to provide an engagement for the ends of the arms C<1>, C<2>. When used on a tricycle, or scooter, the shock absorber is fitted to the supports for the front or single wheel.
