Abstract

196,484. Bailey, W. G. May 3,1922. Moulds.-In a concrete block &c. moulding-machine of the type in which a mould frame is displaceable vertically on a base standard, the mould frame 2 is fitted with racks 4 slidably engaging dovetail guides 5 secured to extensions of the base member 6, such racks being engaged by pinions 7 operable by a bar 25 through levers 9. The mould is supported, for filling, by bolts 11 engaging appropriate holes 10 in the member 6 and the bolts are " flatted " to facilitate withdrawal. To remove adhering material, the lower edge of the mould frame is bevelled at 17 and the member 6 is rounded as shown at 18. The top of the mould may be fitted with a pressing or tamping plate 19 clamped to the flange 20. Handles 21 are provided for transport.
