Hand-stamps; inking- apparatus.-In self-inking hand stamps of the kind comprising a roller e provided with a number of inscriptions, the axle d of the roller is vertically guided in slots c in the sides of a casing a, and is adapted, in descending on the depression of the handle m, to engage the inclined sides of a pivoted frame p carrying an inking-pad q, whereby, the latter is swung out of the path of the roller. The pad q is slidably mounted in a guide s and is normally enclosed within the casing a but is adapted to be withdrawn, for replacement &c., when the holder is swung clear of the casing. The frame p is controlled by a spring r on its pivot shaft o. An indicating member f on the end of the axle d, in conjunction with a pointer u, shows the particular inscription in use.
