Ruling-appliances.-In hand ruling-devices for cash columns comprising a roller bearing spaced ruling-discs and an inking-pad, the pad is positively adjustable in relation to the ruling-discs. A roller a, mounted in a frame c and having secured thereto ruling discs b, is provided with an inking-pad g carried between two plates f<1>, f<2> secured to the frame. The plate f<2> is slotted at h to permit a toothed or milled wheel on a shaft k to engage the inking-pad g which may thus be adjusted in relation to the ruling-discs by a milled head l. Part of the plate f<1> may be movable, being hinged to the fixed part at m. When a longer roller a is employed more than one wheel j may be provided.
