Pressure-regulating valves; safety valves.-A pressure-regulating valve of the kind controlled by an auxiliary valve has the actuating diaphragm of the auxiliary valve arranged to actuate a relief valve in the event of the outlet pressure rising abnormally due to leakage or other cause. The main slide valve 5 is actuated by a piston 3 subject to inlet pressure admitted through a pipe 12 and exhausted through an auxiliary valve 9. The auxiliary valve is actuated by a spring loaded diaphragm 6 subject to outlet pressure. This diaphragm also actuates the relief valve 10 to connect the outlet to a vent port 17.
