Abstract

17,029. Metallurgica Bresciana [giÓ Tempini]. Dec. 15,1914, [Convention date]. Breech actions, sliding breech-block; firing- appliances; barrels.-Relates to automatic pistols of the kind having a breech-slide mounted on the stationary barrel. According to the invention, the barrel 4 is secured to the breech-frame 1 by a spring catch 6 turning on a transverse pivot on the breechframe and engaging a lug 5 on the barrel. The front end of the catch protrudes to form an operating-head 7. The forward end of the breech-slide 3 is closed by a screwed sleeve 10, which forms the forward abutment of the recoil spring 8. The sleeve is looked by a spring ring 35 having projections engaging recesses in a flange on the sleeve and in the front edge of the slide. The hammer 18 is actuated by a helical torsion spring 20, Fig. 3. The trigger and other parts of the firing-mechanism are controlled by spring pins 27, shown enlarged in Fig. 6. The Specification as open to inspection under Section 91 (3) (a) comprises also a safety device, described in Specification 100,187, for locking the sear; this subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
