Abstract

11,016. Robinson, M. D. July 29. Fire and smoke tube superheaters.-The steam supply for the blast apparatus of a locomotive-boiler furnace is superheated in elements 8 located in the boiler tubes. The steam passes from the boiler through the pipe 2 to the hand-regulated valve 3 and thence through the pipe 6 to the smoke-box where the connexion to the superheater elements is made.
