[Addition to 24,207/13.] Locomotive - type boilers. - In locomotive boilers of the kind described in the parent Specification, the fire-box crown is curved and serves as a tube-plate for a number of metal tubes b, c arranged radially to the drum d, which receives their lower ends. The large tube c, fitted with man-hole openings, extends past the crown and is secured to the shell e. Expansion is allowed for by corrugating the parts g of the fire-box or by cutting in these parts slots h which are covered by caps. More than one water drum d may be placed in each fire-box.
