Sectional boilers. -A sectional boiler consisting of superposed cast sections comprising inclined water - tubes extending across the sections is formed with vertically alined watertubes, which are curved for the purpose of taking up expansion of the sections. The tubes are triangular in cross-section, and arranged with their narrow parts upwards. the circular sections 19, only one of which is shown, comprising curved triangular tubes 16 are connected to each other and to the furnace section 11 and the top section 21 by circular flanges 17<a>, which abut against similar flanges in the adjacent sections and contain jointing- nipples 18.
