Water-tube boilers; feed-water, supplying.-In a boiler built up of sections consisting of upper and lower drums connected by vertical watertubes as described in Specifications 26330/08, 27449/10, and 5383/12, the feed is heated and distributed by supplying it to a receptacle 8 placed in the steam-receiver 6 and having feed-tubes 9 depending into each of the upper drums 2. The receptacle may be traversed by one or more tubes to afford increased heating-surface.
