Sectional boilers.-A sectional boiler is built up of I or channel irons, which abut against each other so as to form alternate water spaces and flues. The boiler shown in section in Fig. 2 is formed of I-irons b, channel-irons a being used to close the end water spaces. The flanges of the irons may be connected together by autogenous welding.
