Opening by tearing.-A tin is provided with a slit a along its periphery, and a strip B is soldered in position above the slit, the strip having a perforation b<1> in an end tab b adapted to be engaged by a hook, so that the strip may be torn off. The tin has ridges a' to form a channel to receive the strip.
