Abstract

Submarine vessels. - In submarine vessels of the kind provided with a separate vessel or buov which can be paid out from the hull for observation purposes, the vessel or buoy a is made partly spherical at the top and cylindrical at the bottom, is connected by a cable b to a windlass &c., and is provided with a manhole d, e, observation panels f, a periscope g, oxygen supply i, and a telephone h. The cable b may be suitably marked to indicate the depth of the submarine, or an indicator may be provided.
