Mines, marine. - Consists in maintaining a submarine mine 7, or like moored buoyant body, at a given depth by means of a bellows or diaphragm 1 connected to and operating a winding drum 5 for the mooring cable 6. As shown in Fig. 1, the drum is connected to the bellows by a rack gear 3, 4; and this depth control device is provided with a buoyancy chamber 9 and is attached to an anchor by a cable 15.
