Submarine vessels; conning-towers.-In a submarine vessel of the kind in which the parts projecting above the deck are enclosed in a common housing G open to the sea and tapered fore and aft, the conning-tower C has stations for two men, and is provided with a periscope D, a platform h below it, an observation hood d also forming the cover, and two folding platforms e, e<1> one above the other below the hood d. A second periscope E passes into the interior of the boat, and the two periscopes, as well as a ventilator F with a hinged cover f, have their upper parts enclosed in a common housing S.
