Submarine vessels ; hulls.-For the purpose of reducing the resistance to propulsion when submerged, the projecting parts of submarine vessels, such as conning - towers, ventilating-shafts, and periscopes, are provided with housings tapered to a vertical edge at both ends. The housing B for the conning-tower A is of the usual height forward and, on the after side, is extended to the full height of the conning-tower. A second housing G upon the housing B encloses the major portion of the periscopes D, E and the whole of the ventilating- shafts H, J.
