Submarine vessels. - A submarine boat is constructed with a pressureresisting hull consisting, in cross-section, of circular arcs upon the sides of a triangle or polygon, as shown. For draining the upper channel of the hull when emerging, the vertical stiffeners of the triangle &c. framing may be made in the form of pipes or tubes with or without controlling-valves.
