Abstract

826,155. Hull form. BURNESS, CORLETT & PARTNERS Ltd., [formerly BURNESS, KENDALL & PARTNERS Ltd.]. Sept. 2,1957 [June 1, 1956]; No. 16995/56. Class 113. A hull has a wide flat run to the stern formed by sections having not more than a 5 degree angle of deadrise a in way of the propeller and a low angle of rise b from the keel line which is less than 25 degrees, the effect of which is to move the centre of buoyancy further forward than is normal for a hull having a speed length ratio of approximately v#l= 1À10 - 1À35, the hull also having a built-up skeg B attached to the stern as an appendage. The hull has conical development of its underwater surfaces as in Specification 809,325 and has a full bow, Fig. 3, having generally convex waterlines. The arc C of the propeller A is very close to the hull sections shown tunnelled at D. Specification 809,063 also is referred to.
