Abstract
8494. Kemper, J. T., and Kemper, C. W. April 3. Fixed-abutment type; working-fluid supply. -In an internal-combustion engine having pairs of oscillating pistons connected to rocking arms 6, 7 the free ends of which are secured to connecting-rods 8, 9, combustible mixture is compressed in pump spaces 21, 23 which communicate with explosion chambers 22, 20 through passages 30, 32 respectively. The inlet and exhaust ports are overrun by the pistons.
