Such lateral movement serves to release the members a', a<2> from U- shaped holders f<1>, f<2> fixed to the vehicle frame, and the increased width of the handle frame facilitates its folding over the car body and hood. The upper end of the member a' is rigidly secured within a tubular handle c, and the upper end of the member a<2> is adapted to slide within the handle c against a compression spring d and is locked in the position for use by a press-button e or like device.
