Abstract

380,411. Baby carriages. WILKINSON, E., 5, Bagshot Road, Bush Hill Park, Enfield, Middlesex. June 7, 1932, No. 16089. [Classes 108 (i) and 108 (ii).] A push car or the like comprises a U-shaped frame suitably mounted at its free ends on travelling wheels and a supporting member or rest bar pivoted to the frame and adapted to be closed on to the frame. A U-shaped frame a having a wheeled axle b is provided with a U-shaped rest bar e pivoted in a bracket d on the frame and adapted to be folded against, and clipped to, the frame when the baby carriage is in use. An upholstered seat h is pivoted to the frame at g and provided with a flexible back i secured at its upper end to a sliding bar f by means of which the seat is folded into the plane of the frame when desired. The wheels c may be mounted on stub axles foldable on to the frame. In another form the upper part n of the frame a may be pivoted and arranged to serve as a support when the baby carriage is arranged for the occupant to be in recumbent position. In another form the seat back may be of rigid material and the support e replaced by one pivoted to the seat.
