Rollers and roller heads.-In mules and other machines for preparing and spinning slivers or yarns, a double pinion C slidably fixed on the front roller shaft B is adapted to be moved to engage one or other of two wheels A, A<1> fixed on the usual change-pinion stud F geared to the back roller shaft. The number of teeth on the two parts of the pinion C and on the wheels A, A' are different, so that by moving the pinion, the count or hank being spun is altered.
