379,620. Roller gearing for spinning- machines. BROOKS & DOXEY, Ltd. and KERSHAW, W., Union Iron Works, West Gorton, Manchester. Feb. 6, 1932, No. 3571. [Class 120 (ii).] In roller gearing of the type adapted for intermittent acceleration of the speed of the back roller, the motion is effected by providing a second driving wheel H which is mounted on the crown wheel stud D, has a number of teeth missing, and drives the back roller A through intermediate gears h, h<1> and K, the normal and lower rate of drive being through the driving wheel E and wheel Ff which is held in engagement with the clutch member f<1> by a spiral spring. Whilst the higher rate of drive is being effected the clutch f, f<1> slips.
