Combined drawing and twisting arrangements; twist tubes and like twisters.-Means for simultaneously drawing and twisting, or for drawing, or for spinning cotton, wool, flax, hemp, silk, or like fibres comprises a roller 4 fast on a. driven tube 5 and a roller 13 pressed against the roller 4 by a weight 14 and mounted in a frame 11 on a sleeve 9<a> driven by gearing 10, 18, the yarn being led from the drawing-rollers of the machine through the rollers 4, 13 by means of a guide 19, and through the tube 5 to the ring or other twisting and winding spindle. In a modification illustrated in Fig. 6, the roller 4 engages the internal periphery of a hollow roller 21 eccentrically mounted on the sleeve 9<a>; and in the modification illustrated in Fig. 8, rollers 26, 27, revolve about a common axis in a frame 25 secured to the tube and are rotated by gearing from the sleeve.
