Abstract

20,620. Morton, T. Sept. 12. Studs.-A two-part stud comprises a head b having a tubular shank a and provided with a central tubular headed pin d which is grooved at f to receive a projection g on the shank a, and has its end tapered or made wedge-shaped. The base h of the stud has a tubular stem j and a bulbous stud-like member i projecting a short distance into the stem. The parts are connected together by placing the shank a into the stem j over the stud i, the central pin d being then pressed down to draw a flange c on the end of the shank a under the neck of the stud i. In a modification, Fig. 4, instead of a flange, the shank a is provided with a lateral aperture c to receive the head of the stud i. The stud i is attached to a dished plate k centred by a plate l.
