Abstract

10,794. Dugmore, J. May 4. Studs. - In a two-part stud, the back part comprises a base a<1>, Fig. 2, having a hollow oval shank a<2> containing a spring D and an internal collar C. The head has a shank b<1> flattened at b<4> to form shoulders. The collar C has inner vertical slots c<1> and horizontal slots c<2> together forming two L-shaped slots. To unite the parts, the shank b<1> is inserted flatwise and rotated, so that the flat portion b<4> transverses the slots c<2> and finally rests in the slots c<1>, as shown in Fig. 4, the upper shoulders on the portion b<4> being pressed against the ends of the slots c<1> by the springs D. The head B has a ring b<5> to cover the end of the shank a<2>.
