Abstract

16,168. Swan, W. H., and Trickett, C. Nov. 16. Press-button fasteners.-The stud member is formed by bending a sheet-metal blank of the form shown in Fig. 6, the base portion A being diehed as at a', Fig. 1, and the projecting ears B being bent down upon the base portion, and their extremities B<1> bent upwardly and dished to form the two parts or prongs b of the stud. Sewing-holes c, Fig. 1, are provided. The prongs b are formed with parallel sides b<3>, Fig. 4, and with converging sides b<4>, Fig. 5. A socket member having a cap or socket similar in shape to the head of the stud may be employed.
